Studying For A Math Exam

Two Main Goals:

Learn the material so you

1.  can perform well on the exam.

2.  will remember it later on in the year.

Tip #1:  Complete memorizing a couple of days prior to exam.

Tip #2:  Use flashcards for memorizing formulas and equations.

Tip #3:  Look over lecture notes and rework examples.

Tip #4:  Look over homework assignments and rework problems.

Tip #5:  Make an exam for yourself.

Tip #6:  Restudy what you struggled with on your practice exam.

Tip #7:  Do not set a tutoring appointment for the day prior to the exam.  Concepts learned at the last minute will generally be forgotten when an individual is nervous or stressed.
